Isaac Region Local History
Isaac Region is a local government area located in the Central Highlands region of Queensland, Australia. Named after the Isaac River, it covers an area of approximately 58,000 square kilometers and has a population of over 22,000 people.
The history of Isaac Region begins with the traditional owners of the land, the Aboriginal people of the Barada Barna and Wangan tribes. They had a deep connection to the land and took care of it for thousands of years, passing on their knowledge and culture from generation to generation.
